Recorded way back when Melbourne was in lockdown (um, two weeks ago), Gotta Be Done's Muffin Cone recap is a romp through all the bad habits that a bit of extreme social distancing seems to turn up. (Eat all the Doritos, all our locked-down interstate/international friends!)  

But maybe it's not habits that are bad, just shame is? Kate and Brene have lots to share on the topic, while Mary's determined to stop parents getting shamed - even if they're bringing up brats!

Gotta Be Done is back in lockdown, but before that happened we recorded this Duck Cake recap and pined for those long locked days of having time to make duck cakes. For the record, we take it all back. 

But whether you're locked down or just locked into parenting, Duck Cake has what you need: a can-do attitude, tail-wagging, determination, bribery and a bench to sink hopelessly behind. 

Also, can children be weaned off poo chocolate? Guess Bluey can't answer all our existential questions.

We’re diving into Swim School, but is this the least relatable Bluey episode out of 2020? The Heelers are in Bali and Kate and Mary are struggling to recall how you even get overseas!

But a holiday plot is (nearly) as good as a holiday, and this one takes Gotta Be Done to the big-haired 80s (does ANYONE else share Mary’s triplej memories of Bevan the Musical?? Luckily, YouTube does!) And briefly back to the 2020 hellscape (hello, Karen!) - but there's hope to find for 2021 too.

This recap was also baby Joe's first appearance on the pod - and now nearly a year on, that gorgeous bub has just turned one! 

Time and tide truly wait for no man/dog/queen, but at least in the intervening year we've finally found our answer: Chilli saying "gotta be done" was a shoutout to us! (Joe Brumm may have confirmed this under duress.)

Another break week for Gotta Be Done - what better place to have it than The Beach?!

It's the Bluey episode that went on to become 2020's Australian Book Industry Awards Book of the Year, and back in April 2019 The Beach had Mary and Kate talking girl power, growing kids' independence, and what sort of Insta influencers arrive at the beach on a skateboard?!
